Diversity in Education

Intel is helping to transform the lives of millions through education.  We are committed to delivering education initiatives that ensure underserved and underrepresented communities and students have access to technology and are inspired to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  Intel believes that a highly educated workforce and a strong technology infrastructure are the foundations for success in today’s knowledge economy.  We partner with organizations in the community that provide scholarships and fellowships for minority engineering students.    The Diversity Scholar Program provides an avenue for those same students to intern at Intel to gain hands-on experience.   The Intel Computer Clubhouse Network (ICCN) provides access to technology with over 100 locations worldwide.

STAY WITH IT Initiative

As a member of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, Intel CEO Paul Otellini co-led the High Tech Education working group, with a mission to design approaches to increase the retention and graduation rates of engineers in the U.S. One of the resulting initiatives was STAY WITH IT™ - the first online community designed to motivate engineering students on their path to graduation.
