Diversity Initiatives

In keeping with Intel’s Global Diversity leadership vision we developed a series of strategic initiatives to address our diverse employee populations.  Our initiatives focus on delivering programs to develop, retain and connect our respective employee populations.  The initiatives leverage the skills and talents of our leaders and provides our leaders with opportunities to be visible mentors and roles models inside and outside of Intel.

African American Initiative

This initiative has developed and successfully implemented programs to help develop and retain our African American employees.  The initiative includes leadership conferences, mentor programs and the extremely successful Blueprint for Extraordinary Leadership program.  The Network of Intel African American employees (NIA), an employee resource group and the Intel Black Leadership Council (IBLC) play integral parts in the initiatives development and retention efforts.

Hispanic Initiative

The initiative was formed to build enthusiasm, reach out and establish relationships with employees in support of the initiative efforts to attract, develop and retain Hispanic employees.   Both, the Intel Latin Network (ILN), an employee resource group and Intel’s Hispanic Leadership Council (IHLC) are key advocates and contributors to the Hispanic initiative program. The initiative programs include leadership conferences, mentor programs, 1^st Year TouchPoint and Blueprint for Extraordinary Leadership programs.

Women’s Initiative

The initiative builds enthusiasm among Intel’s female employees by delivering programs that foster development and retention by leveraging the strength of Intel’s female executives as visible, proactive role models.  The Women at Intel Network (WIN), an employee resource group with 22 chapters located all over the world is the employee resource group which plays a key role in development of our women employee population.  Intel’s Network of Executive Women (INEW) serves as a passionate voice for women and champion initiative efforts focused on mentoring and development of women.  Successful programs include Command Presence Workshop, Women’s Principal Engineer & Fellows Forum and Act Now, Create Possibilities for Women and Girls/10 X 10.

Veteran’s Initiative

This initiative’s vision is to be the high tech employer of choice for veterans and their families.  Intel recognizes that military service exposes Veterans to critical, transferrable skills that are highly valued in the technology industry and our commitment to this population will not only continue but will expand.  The real-world, practical experience that Veterans bring to our workplace embodies the attributes that support our success as a company: leadership, dedication, and “possibility thinking.”  Currently this initiative supports programs that inside and outside of Intel.  This initiative supports a nationwide mentoring program through America Corporate Partners which connects veterans with professionals from top corporations and select universities.  We piloted a transition assistant program for veterans and their spouses at the Intel Computer Clubhouse located in Gum Springs, VA.  We also have a formal relationship with Employer Support of Guard and Reserves (ESGR), as Department of Defense agency.
