The Intel® EP80579 Integrated Processor combines Intel QuickAssist Technology with an Intel® architecture core, memory controller, and I/O controller into an SOC processor optimized for appliances and application-specific designs. The Intel SOC processor supports a broad range of communications and security applications, delivering performance and power efficiency in a small footprint.
The Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 and E5-2400 Series with Intel® Communications Chipset 89xx Series Platform offers a range of Intel® Xeon® processors paired with the Intel® Communications Chipset 89xx Series that enable application, control and packet processing workloads with Intel® QuickAssist Technology hardware acceleration of cryptographic and compression functions.
Utilizing select Intel® Xeon®, Intel® Core™, Intel® Pentium® and Intel® Celeron Processors with Intel® Communications Chipset 89xx Series, this platform for smaller footprint communications infrastructure systems allows for increased intelligence and efficiency in thermally constrained solutions. It also includes Intel® QuickAssist Technology hardware acceleration for efficient cryptographic and compression performance.

Energy equipment
Industries, such as energy, manufacturing, and chemical production, are exploring the use of field programmable gate array (FPGA)-based accelerators for computation-intensive algorithms.
